아주 오래전에 날짜를 보니 2002년 10월 29일 2시에 한창호 현재 인하대 광기술교육센터 팀장이 daum에 있는 CODE V 카페에 올린 글입니다.

CODE V-HMD(Head mounted display)

Usually, it is not necessary to actually include an optical model of the eye when designing visual instruments.

Typically, the eye is assumed to be a perfect imaging system.

Modeling of visual systems is usually done in one of two ways in CODE V

1. Use "true afocal modeling"(AFC command) with accommodation to optimize and analyze the angular aberrations that a visual system(like and HMD) presents to the eye.

* The output is in terms of angular units (arc minutes of error, cycles/arc minute) and that focus is in terms of diopters(typical units when dealing with visual systems)

2. Use an AFI (perfect lens) of 17.12mm focal length(the air equivalent focal length of the human eye).

마지막에 17.12mm의 근거 자료는 잘 모르겠습니다.
